Passenger bus falls into ditch in Sunamganj

A passenger bus has plunged into a ditch in Janigaon area of Sunamganj Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred when driver of the passenger bus lost his control over steering and fell into the roadside ditch filled with flood water on Sunamganj-Sylhet highway in Janigaon area of the upazila around 11 am on Tuesday (July 21).

Four passengers have been rescued alive but it is still unclear what happened on the fates of the remaining passengers, said Mohinur Rahman, a local union parishad member.

Police and firefighters are continuing their rescue operation.
