Two minors drown in Noakhali

Two minors drowned in a pond in Sundarpur village under Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali on Wednesday noon.

The deceased were known as Humayra, 4, daughter of Hafiz Ahmed and Mazed, 6, son of Gulzar Hossain. The duo were cousins.

Local sources said, the two kids were playing with other children on their courtyard around 2:00pm. After sometime, family members found their floating bodies in a pond adjacent to their houses. Later, the children were taken to Chatkhil upazila health complex where duty doctor declared them dead.

Chatkhil police station OC Anwarul Islam confirmed the matter.
