Rail links with Khulna restored

Rail links of Khulna with across the country have been restored after a 10-hour disruption.
Rail communications between Khulna and the rest of the country resumed around 12.00pm on Tuesday.
The rail links were snapped as two freight trains collided at Kotchandpur in Jhenaidah early Tuesday. The incident took place around 2.30am at Sabdarpur station. However, no casualties were reported.
Kotchandpur Station Master Golam Mostafa said two freight trains collided head-on due to a wrong signal. Four bogies of a train were derailed. Since then, trains movement remained stop with Khulna along with Rajshahi, Dhaka and all over the country.
A rescue train reached there around 8.30am.
