Bodi sued by a youth claiming to be his father

A youth from Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar has gone to court for recognition that he is a son to former lawmaker (Cox’s Bazar-4) Abdur Rahman Bodi.

Accepting the case of the youth Mohammad Ishak, 27, the court ordered him to appear at a hearing on Jan 14, 2021.

Kafil Uddin Chowdhury, the lawyer for Ishak told risingbd that the case was filed with the court of Teknaf’s Assistant Judge Md Ziaul Haque on Sunday (December 13).

In the petition, Ishak wrote “Abdur Rahman Bodi” as the name of his father. The youth is currently living in South Muhuripara, adjacent to BISIC industrial area of Jhilongja union of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila. The youth told the court that he was ready for a DNA test, if necessary, to prove his claim.
