Ferry movement has resumed on the Paturia-Daulatdia route.
All types of ferries were asked to operate from 4:45 pm on Monday (May 10).
Though the passenger gathering was less, ordinary goods-laden trucks were seen crossing the river after the ferry movement resumed.
Zillur Rahman, Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Aricha office of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), confirmed the matter.
He said, “All the ferries started running from 4:45 pm as per the instruction issue by the higher authorities. All the ferries anchored at Paturia Ghat have been plying since the instructions were received. As there are not many passengers, the crossing of ordinary goods-laden trucks have started.”
