All the waterway communications at Hatiya, an isolated inland upazila of Noakhali, with the rest of the country have resumed four days after the communications were suspended due to inclement weather.
A ship was seen leaving Hatiya ghat for Chattogram around 8:30 am on Thursday (September 16) morning.
Besides, all water transports in Hatiya-Dhaka, Hatiya-Chattogram and Hatiya-Boyarchar Chairman Ghat-Sea Truck routes have started plying from this morning.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Imran Hossain confirmed the matter.
The upazila administration on Sunday (September 12) issued an order to suspend plying of all water transports following the depression over northwest Bay. The water vessels have resumed operations this morning as the situation becomes normal after four days, UNO said.
