Abbas Ali confesses making remarks on Bangabandhu’s mural

Abbas Ali, the mayor of Rajshahi's Katakhali municipality, on Friday (November 26) confessed that he made the opinion opposing the installation of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's mural.

Earlier he posted a Facebook post and claimed that his opinion regarding the issue was edited.

On Monday (November 22), he made the controversial remarks about a mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman that went viral in social media. A case has been filed under digital security act. In this situation, he appeared in a Facebook live around 4:00pm today.

In the Facebook live, he said that he made some comments centering on the installation of Bangabandhu's mural after being influenced by the words of an Islamic cleric (Ulama).
