Train derails in Dinajpur, communication halted

Five bogies of an express train got derailed after the train hit a sand-laden truck at Parbatipur rail crossing in Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur.

Train operator has been critically injured in this connection and admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Following the derailment of Dolonchapa Express, railway services on the Dinajpur route have been suspended since Wednesday (January 05) morning.

Dinajpur Railway Station Super Ziaur Rahman confirmed the matter to risingbd.

He said that five bogies of Dolonchapa Express veered off the tracks around 8:30am after a crash with the sand-laden truck on the train tracks.
