Dinajpur reports 96 fresh Covid-19 cases, one death

One person died from coronavirus-like symptoms and 96 more people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) in the past 24 hours in Dinajpur.

Dinajpur Civil Surgeon Borhan Niloy confirmed the information on Thursday (January 27).

The total number of infected people is 15,586 in the district while the total number of deaths is 292. Currently, there are 648 Covid-19 patients. Six patients recovered in the past 24 hours. The rate of the Covid-19 cases against the sample tests is 45.49%, said the surgeon.

According to Civil Surgeon Office, among the 96 infected people, 31 contracted Covid-19 in Dinajpur sadar upazila, 26 in Parbatipur, 10 in Birol, 9 each in Fulbaria and Khansama, 5 in Birampur, 2 in Ghoraghat, 1 each in Chirirbandar, Birganj, Bochaganj and Kaharole upazilas.

However, no new cases were reported in Hakimpur and Nawabganj upazilas.
