6km-long tailback at Daulatdia ferry terminal
News Desk || risingbd.com
Excessive pressure of vehicles on the Daulatdia-Paturia ferry route created a six-kilometer-long traffic jam at the Daulatdia ferry terminal on Friday (March 11).
Sources said, the situation was created due to additional pressure of vehicles centering weekly holidays.
The concerned authority said, passenger buses and perishable goods-laden trucks are being allowed to go first through the ghat.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC)'s Daulatdia Ghat Manager Shihab Uddin said, a total of 19 ferries are providing service right now. Hopefully, the traffic situation will be normal soon.
