College student washed away in Cox`s Bazar

A college student was swept away by waves after he went for a bath at Cox's Bazar sea beach.

The deceased was identified as Shahed Hossain, 18, son of Shamsu Alam, hailed from Ramu of the district.

Mahbub Alam, a beach supervisor confirmed the matter on Friday (March 11).

Two students were swept away by the strong current around 9:00 am. We managed to rescue one of them and another one remained missing. Later, the missing college student was found in the water after 45 minutes.

He was later rushed to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital the doctor on-duty declared him dead.
