Bus service on Rangpur-Dhaka route suspended

Without prior notice, transport workers have suspended long-distance bus service on Rangpur-Dhaka route calling for five-point demand including wages and allowance.
As a result of this, commuters are facing extreme sufferings.
The transport workers in Rangpur started observing work abstention around 6:00 am on Tuesday (April 5).
Meanwhile, some buses of Ena and Shah Fateh Ali paribahan were seen plying on the streets amid the work abstention.
MA Majid, General Secretary of Rangpur Divisional Committee of Bangladesh Road Transport Workers Federation, denied the work abstention programme.
