12 missing sailors of lighter ship capsized in Bay rescued

Twelve sailors, who went missing after a coal-laden lighter vessel capsized in the Bay of Bengal near Bhasanchar, have been rescued alive.
Abdul Momin, media official of Coast Guard, confirmed the matter.
He said a lighter vessel named Sajal-Tanmoy-2 sank in the Bay of Bengal, 12 nautical miles off the southern area of Bhashanchar, sank with 12 sailors. Being informed, Coast Guard rescue ship rushed to the sport immediately. But before the ship could reach the scene, several private ships in the vicinity rescued the sailors.
According to ship sources, no more sailors remain missing.
