One crushed under train in Jashore

A youth was killed and his friend seriously injured as a train hit their motorcycle at Gazirbazar Rail Crossing of Kholadanga in Jashore town on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased is Shamim Gazi, 22, and injured is Mamun Aziz, 20, both hailed from Boerdanga village under Kalaroa upazila in Satkhira district.

A Benapole-bound commuter train hit their motorcycle when they were returning after Eid shopping.  Shamim Gazi died on the spot.

Mamun Aziz has been admitted to Jashore General Hospital and his condition is critical.
