443 Rohingyas held at Cox’s Bazar sea beach

Some 443 Rohingyas were detained by police on Wednesday (May 04) for roaming on Cox’s Bazar sea beach and adjoining areas.
Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station OC Sheikh Munir-ul-Gias confirmed the matter.
He said police conducted a drive after receiving information that the Rohingyas were irritating the tourists staying at different points of the sea beach.
Additional Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commission Samsuddoza Nayan said police held some Rohingyas who were stranded on the beach. They were handed over to us. We will take necessary measures against them.
