Burn patients to get best treatment: Samanto Lal Sen

Coordinator of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS) Dr Samanta Lal Sen visited the burn unit of Chattogram Medical College Hospital to see the burn patients on Monday noon.

The physician assured of the patients to provide the best treatment.

He said this at a press briefing after visiting the burn patients in the incident of the BM Container Depot fire at Sitakunda in Chattogram.

Describing experience, Samanta Lal Sen said it is possible to release many of the patients admitted here. Three persons will be transferred to Dhaka. There is no burn ICU in Chattogram. The treatment being given here is fine. There is no question about the quality of treatment here. However, some facilities are lacking so some patients are being advised to be taken to Dhaka.

Along with Samanta Lal Sen, Assistant Professor Belayet Hossain and Associate Professor Emu also came from Dhaka.

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Biplob Barua also addressed the press conference.
