Flights resume at Osmani Airport after six days

Flights have resumed at the Osmani International Airport in Sylhet after six days of closure due to flooding.

Several flights started operation from early Thursday (June 23).

Assistant Director of Osmani International Airport Nazrul Islam said the airport authorities started flight operations at the airport as floodwater went down from the runway.

Earlier on 17 June, the airport authorities suspended flight operations at the airport as floodwater inundated the runway.
