The sea has remained rough as a well-marked low has formed over Northwest Bay of Odisha-West Bengal Coast.
Maritime ports including Cox’s Bazar have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number 3. It is likely to intensify further, said a special bulletin of the Met office.
Under its influence, squally weather may affect the Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra ports, North Bay, and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.
The local administration has warned tourists.
All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
