2 injured as Brazil, Argentina fans fight in Savar

A huge brawl in Bangladesh between rival fans of the Argentina and Brazil football teams left at least two people injured.

The incident took place in Baktarpur intersection of Savar municipality around 6:00pm on Tuesday (November 22).

The injured two youths are – Al Amin, 18 and Mehedi, 16.

Locals said, the people of the area were enjoying the today’s football match. Meanwhile, centering altercation, 20-22 youths attacked Mehedi and Al Amin with lethal weapon leaving them injured critically. Later, they were taken to Savar Upazila Health Complex.

Doctor Farbin Jasim, duty doctor of the hospital said, after giving primary treatment, they were sent to Dhaka Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital.
