Two killed in Tangail road accident

A truck hit another truck stationed near the road on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu highway in Kalihati upazila of Tangail early Tuesday (December 6), leaving helpers of the two trucks dead.

The incident took place at Pouli area in the upazila around 4:30 am.

The deceased were identified as Mehedi Hasan, 24, son of Amjad Hossain from Bogura district and Shahin Miah, 22, son of Md  Sobuj Mia from Rangpur district.

Confirming the news, in-charge of Tangail General Hospital Police Box Nobin Hossain said the two trucks were seized, adding that the bodies will be handed over to their families following legal procedure.
