Country’s lowest temperature recorded in Jashore, cold waves in 21 dists

Cold waves are prevailing in 21 districts of the country including the capital Dhaka, disrupting the normal life of people.
According to the Met Office sources, country’s lowest temperature was recorded at 7.8 degrees Celsius in Jashore on Sunday (January 8) while 12.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Dhaka.
Md Bazlur Rashid, a meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), said a cold wave is flowing in all districts of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions. Cold wave is prevailing in Bogura, Chapainawabganj, Joypurhat, Pabna, Naogaon, Natore, Rajshahi, Sirajganj, Kurigram, Rangpur, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Thakurgaon, Nilphamari, Tangail, Manikganj, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushita.
