Woman killed after being gored by buffalo

A woman was killed after being gored by buffalo in Tarutia village of Lauhati union under Delduar upazila in Tangail on Sunday (Sunday 22).

The deceased was known as Hazera Begum, 50, wife of Azgar Ali, hailed from the village.

Delduar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasir Uddin Mridha said an angry buffalo of Sharif Mia attacked locals in the village, leaving 11 people injured.

Later, the injured were taken to Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital where the victim died under treatment.

District animal resource officer Dr Md Rana Mia said a team arrived in the spot to tranquilize the buffalo. However, locals killed the animal.
