AL’s public rally begins in Rajshahi

The ruling Awami League (AL) has began its public rally at historic Madrasha ground in Rajshahi.

The rally began at 12 pm on Sunday (January 29) with the recitation of holy Quran.

Local leaders are now delivering their speeches at the rally.

Rajshahi city and district units of Bangladesh Awami League (AL) have organized the public rally at historic Madrasha ground.

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already reached Rajshahi to address the public rally.

She will deliver her speech at the rally at 3pm.

Apart from addressing the rally, she is expected to inaugurate 25 projects with involvement of around Taka 1,316.97 crore. The premier is also likely to lay the foundation stones of six other projects with an estimated cost of around Taka 376.28 crore.

Many of the AL leaders and workers fixed large and medium size banners and posters on both sides of the roads towards the rally venue welcoming Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Leaders and activists of Awami League from different districts and upazilas are coming to the rally venue with processions chanting slogans.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has visited Rajshahi today after five years.
