Flight operations suspended at Sylhet Osmani airport

Flight operations at Sylhet Osmani International Airport, have been suspended as a wheel of a Boeing Aircraft got punctured during the takeoff at the runway.

Sources said Boeing-737 was scheduled to leave the airport for Dhaka around 12:55pm on Friday (February 3). But, a wheel of the aircraft got punctured just before the takeoff. Later, 148 passengers of the plane managed to come out from it safely.

Osmani International Airport Director Hafiz Ahmed said the repair work of the aircraft wheel has started.

Then, removing it from the runway, flight operations will be resumed, he added.
