Varsity student killed in Pabna motorcycle accident

A student of a private university was killed after his motorbike was smashed by a pickup van in Pabna’s Sadar upazila on Friday (February 3) night.

The deceased was identified as Redwan Islam Rupom, 23, son of late Abdul Baten. He was the BBA final year student of United International University in Dhaka.

The incident took place at Tebunia Bazar area in the Sadar upazila at around 8 pm.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pabna Sadar Police Station Kripa Sindhu Bala confirmed the incident.

The body was handed over to the family, he said.

The pickup van was, however, seized but its driver managed to flee the scene.
