Trader stabbed to death; three detained

A trader named Sultan Ul Alam Linkon, 35, has allegedly been stabbed to death by opponents over the previous enmity in Mirpur upazila of Kushtia.

Police have arrested three persons in this connection.

The deceased was the son of Abdur Rashid, a resident of Mosharrafpur area of Mirpur municipality. 

According to locals, Linkon had a dispute with Shaheen Mallik and Razzak Mallik of the locality. On Tuesday evening, they locked into an argument with Linkon. At one stage, opponents stabbed Linkon with a sharp knife.

He was taken to Kushtia General Hospital where he died early Wednesday while undergoing treatment.

Rakibul’s father Abdur Rashid filed a case accusing seven people.
