Two killed as study tour bus hits tree

Two persons were killed and 34 were injured after a study tour bus had hit a tree in Kashiani of Gopalganj on Thursday night.
The tragic incident took place around 8.00pm in Borashur area of Dhaka-Khulna highway.
The deceased are Sudipta Biswas, 45, a lab assistant of Bakri High School in Bagharpara of Jashore, and Biddut Kumar Biswas, 50, a member of the school managing committee.
Sub-Inspector of Kashiani Thana Dewan Sadekul Islam said three buses from Bakri High School carrying students and their parents and teachers were returning after a study tour, but one of the buses hit a roadside tree after the driver lost control over it, leaving 36 injured.
The injured were admitted to Jashore General Hospital and Kashiani Hospital. The duo died at hospitals.
