10 shops gutted in fire in Noakhali

At least 10 shops were gutted in a fire at Nalerchar Bazar in Hatia upazila of Noakhali district on Friday midnight.

The fire originated from a grocery shop and soon engulfed the adjacent nine shops.

Station officer of Subarnachar Fire Service Nurun Nabi confirmed the news.

Being informed, a unit of Fire Service and Civil Defense was sent there, but locals had doused the blaze before they reached there, he said.

Officer-in-Charge of Hatia Thana Md Amir Hossain said the loss of the fire may be Tk 50,00000.
