Two students stabbed to death in Patuakhali

Two students of class 10 were allegedly hacked to death over previous enmity at Bauphal upazila in Patukhali district on Wednesday afternoon (March 22).

The two victims were known as Nafis, 16, Maruf, 16. Both of them are students of Indrakul Secondary School in the upazila.

Police and local sources said that there was a clash between the students of class IX and X two days ago. Centering the clash, the students of Grade IX attacked the three students of X named Nafis, Maruf and Siyam, on a bridge located on the south side of the school around 4:00pm, leaving them critically injured.

The injured were taken to Bauphal Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor referred Maruf and Nafis to Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated. But the doctors of hospital declared dead on their arrival.

Confirming the matter, Patuakhali police super Saidul Islam said police drive is underway to arrest the accused students.
