Two killed as bus hits electric pole in Jhalakati

Two people were killed and 10 other injured as a BRTC bus hit a road side electric pole in Rajapur upazila of Jhalakati on Friday morning.

The accident took place around 10.00am in Kanudaskati area of Barishal-Patharghata road.

The deceased are the supervisor of the bus and a passenger, but their identities were not confirmed.  

Officer-in-Charge of Rajapur Thana Pulok Chandra Roy said members of police and fire service is now conducting a rescue operation.
