Cumilla road crash leaves 2 dead

At least two people were killed when a passenger bus hit an autorickshaw in Daudkandi of Cumilla on Friday (March 24).

The deceased were known as Yakub Ali, 30, son of Billal Hossain, Josna Begum, 55, wife of Abul Kashem, of Chotna village in Debidwar Upazila.

Locals said a Cumilla-bound passenger hit the three-wheeler in Dighirpar area around 11:00 am, leaving a woman dead on the spot and injured two others.

Later, the injured were sent to local hospital but another one died on the way to the hospital.

Daudkandi Highway police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter.
