Youth found dead in fish enclosure

Police recovered body of a youth named Billal Hossain from a fish enclosure ofRamzan Nagar area of Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira district on Friday (March 24) morning.

The deceased was known as son of late Abdus Sattar of the same area.

According to police and local sources, Masum Mondal, an employee of the enclosure, noticed the body first and reported it to the police station. Later, the police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

Aklima Khatun, wife of the deceased, said Billal Hossain left the house last night and did not return.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shyamnagar Police Station Nurul Islam Badal said, “Police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to the hospital morgue. Whether it is murder or not cannot be said without investigation. However, the victim’s family has claimed that he was killed.”
