Man to walk gallows for killing father and mother

A court in Sylhet sentenced a man to death for killing his father and mother in the district in 2020.

Sylhet session judge court justice Mashiur Rahman Chowdhury passed the order on Thursday (March 30).

The death row convict is known as Atik Hossain Khan alias Atikur Rahman Rahel, 35.

Public prosecutor Nizam Uddin Ahmed said that the convict killed his mother and father on March 27, 2020 following a land dispute.

Later, Delwar Hossain, another son of the slain victims filed a murder case with Golapganj police station.
