Journalist Shamsuzzaman taken to Kashimpur jail

Shamsuzzaman, a reporter of the Daily Prothom Alo arrested in the Digital Security Act case, has been taken to Kashimpur Central Jail Part-1 of Gazipur from the Dhaka Central Jail.
Jail Superintendent Shahjahan Ahmed of Kashimpur Central Jail Part-1 confirmed the matter on Friday (March 31).
Jail Super Shahjahan Ahmed said Shamsuzzaman was brought to Kashimpur Jail-1 around 1:30 pm on Friday by a prison van.
Earlier, Prothom Alo journalist Shamsuzzaman was sent to jail by a Dhaka court after 35 hours of picking him up from Savar’s house under the identity of CID. Before this, he was produced in the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court of Dhaka at around 10:30 am on Thursday. The bail application was heard there. After rejecting the bail application, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain of CMM Court of Dhaka ordered to send Shamsuzzaman to jail.
Then on the same day around 3:30 pm, he was taken to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj by a prison van. From there, he was taken to Kashimpur Central Jail Part-1 in Gazipur.
