Housewife commits suicide in Rangamati

A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house at Karigarpara in Kaptai upazila of Rangamati district.

The deceased was Wuyeingching Marma, 35, wife of Sagou Marma of the village.

Shafiul Azam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chandraghona police station, said Wuyeingching had been mentally challenged for 10 years. Yesterday evening, she hanged herself from the ceiling of the house when she was alone in the house. Later, her son found the hanging body of her mother.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.

However, no complaint was filed from the deceased’s family in this regard.
