27 shops gutted in Gaibandha fire

At least 27 shops and five houses were fully gutted in a fire that broke out at Laksmipur market in Gobindaganj Sadar upazila on Friday (April 7).

The fire originated in a tin-shed house in the market this morning and spread to adjacent area. Later, three fire units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after three hours effort.

Locals said the lost caused by the fire estimated Tk3 crore.

Gaibandha Sadar Fire Service DAD Jakir Hossain confirmed the matter.
