‘Dhaka-Pabna direct train service to launch in Sep’

President Mohammed Shahabuddin has said that the direct train service between Pabna and Dhaka will launch in next September. 

He said this while addressing the civil society reception at the Government Edward College grounds, Pabna on Tuesday (May 16) afternoon.

The President said, creating instability in the name of agitation is never good for the country. Forget political violence and solve all problems through discussion.

Calling for the evaluation of various progress of the last 14 years and the previous situation in the upcoming national parliament elections, he said, those who came to power after the assassination of Bangabandhu destroyed the non-communal spirit of the Liberation War. But later, under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina, the non-communal spirit returned again. There was a conspiracy to defeat the government politically over the Padma Bridge. It was a conspiracy against the country. There was a conspiracy against freedom and sovereignty. But I coped with a strong hand. I didn’t come by floating, I went to Bangabhaban from Rajpath.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin said I have many memories associated with Pabna Edward College. I grew up in Pabna’s light, air, nature, environment and common people. So I was yours even before becoming the president, I am still yours. Insha Allah I want to live as your person in the future.
