Youth killed in Ukhia Rohingya camp

A youth was killed by miscreants at a Rohingya camp in Ukhia of Cox’s Bazar on Friday (June 2).

The incident took place at Block-E/15 of Ukhia Rohingya camp early Friday.

The deceased was known as Redowan, 28, son of Hasu Ali of Block-F/6.

Sheikh Mohammad Ali, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ukhia Police Station, confirmed the matter.

He said, “Miscreants carried out an attack on Redowan over establishing supremacy in the Rohingya camp, leaving dead on the spot. Being informed, police were sent to the spot. The body was recovered and sent it to Cox’ Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.”
