Import-export resumes through Hili Port after meetingImport and export activities on Monday (June 5) resumed through Hili Land Port of Dinajpur after Indian truck drivers called off the strike.

Harun Ur Rashid Harun, President of Importers-Exporters Group of Hili Land Port, confirmed the matter on Monday (June 5) afternoon.

He said that an unexpected incident happened with some Indian truck drivers at the port last Saturday. Due to that they stopped importing products from India. Today (Monday) we held meeting with the C&F, Importers-Exporters and Traders of the two countries and accepted the 7-point demand of Indian truckers. They called off their strike. After that, cargo trucks from India started entering the port since afternoon.

Earlier, import and export activities at land port were suspended from Sunday till today (Monday) afternoon due to strike called by Indian truck drivers over alleged beating of them.
