School girl falls sick, dies during classroom 

A school girl died after she fell sick during a class in a school in Daudkandi of Cumilla on Tuesday (June 6).

The deceased was known as Habiba Aktar, 12, a student of class six at Gouripur Subal-Aftab High School and daughter of Ziaul Haque, hailed from Chan Nagerchar village of Titas upazila.

Md Selim, headmaster of the school said that the student suddenly fell ill during class and vomited. Later, she was rushed to Gouripur Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor referred her to Dhaka for better treatment but she died on the way.

Daudkandi upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Md Mahinul Hasan said the we heard the matter. Doctors can explain in details.

Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Nisharga Meraj Chowdhury said heatstroke would be the reason behind the death.
