Tourist bus being launched in Chattogram for the first time

Tourist buses are being launched around Patenga Beach and the newly constructed DC Park for the first time under the initiative of Chattogram district administration.

The local administration is managing this new tourist bus in collaboration with Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC).

Keeping in mind the tourism potential of the port city of Chattogram, officials of Chattogram district administration said that this initiative has been taken to attract tourists.

Initially, tourist bus service will begin with two buses on Saturday (June 10).

ABM Amin Ullah Noori, Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Department, will inaugurate this new bus service for tourists on June 10.

In the first phase, two double-decker buses of BRTC are being developed as tourist buses.

It is known that two tourist buses will ply from Tiger Pass in the city to Patenga Beach via Faujdarhat DC Park. There are three times on Fridays and four times on Saturdays during holidays. However, this new transport will go from Tiger Pass to Patenga Beach via DC Park twice a day from Sunday to Thursday outside of holidays.

Every day at 3 pm and 4 pm, tourist buses will depart for Patenga Beach from Tiger Pass in the city via DC Park. Two buses will return to the city at 7 pm and 8 pm. However, these two buses will run in the afternoon as well as in the morning during the holidays. Every Friday at 9 am from Tiger Pass to Patenga Beach and return to the city by the same bus at 12 pm. On the other hand, tourist buses will depart from Tiger Pass to Patenga Beach twice on Saturday at 9:30 am and 10:30 am. Two buses will depart from Patenga Beach to Tiger Pass at 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.
