10 students allegedly forced to eat excreta: Probe body formed

A three-member probe body has been formed over an allegation that a teacher couple tortured 10 female students and forced them to eat human excreta and rotten things for taking a photo of their daughter in a mobile phone.

Amtali UNO Mohammad Ashraful Alam formed the probe body of Thursday (June 8).

The incident took place at Madaninagar Jamia Saiyeda Fatima Girls Hafijia Madrasa in Amtali of Barguna on June 2.

The guardians of the victim students gave a written complaint to the UNO.

The teacher couple is Abdur Rashid and Taslima Begum.

After the incident, three students were admitted to Amtali Upazila Health Complex.

It is known that on June 2 night, Nusrat, the daughter of the teacher couple, complained that Jannatul Ferdosi, a student of that madrasa, took her photo by a mobile phone.

Abdur Rashid and Taslima asked 10 students after their daughter’s complaint.

At one stage, Abdur Rashid, Taslima Begum, their son Taiyeb and daughter Nusrat beat 10 students. Later, they forced the students to eat human excreta, rotten things and drain water.  After that all the 10 students felt ill.

The teacher couple canceled their admission and sent them home on Saturday morning.
