19 tonnes of Hilsa to be exported to India from Barishal

About 19 tonnes of Hilsa will be exported to India from Barishal on the occasion of Durga Puja.

The first consignment of Hilsa is being sent by Mahima Enterprise of Barisal, said owner of the company Nirob Hossain Tutul.

The commerce ministry has permitted five companies from Barishal to export Hilsa to India on the occasion of Durga Puja. In this regard, the commerce ministry issued a gazette notification on Wednesday. The order will remain effective till 30 October.

A company will be able to export 50 tonnes of Hilsa.

The five companies of Brishal  are Mahima Enterprise, Tanisha Enterprise, Masfi Enterprise, AR Enterprise and Sea Gold Enterprise.
