Jahangir Alam becomes GCC mayor’s advisor

Former mayor Jahangir Alam has become advisor of mayor of Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) Jayeda Khatun.

Councilors of GCC took the decision at a meeting on Monday afternoon.

Zayeda Khatun, also mother of former mayor Jahangir Alam, took charge of her office as GCC mayor on September 11.

Zayeda Khatun won the GCC elections with 238,934 votes after defeating Awami League backed candidate Azmat Ullah on May 25.
