500 families lose money by investing in SPG apps

People in the country are getting trapped by the glittering offer of investing in apps, and becoming the victim of fraud. Around 400 families in Kachubari village under Thakurgaon Sadar upazila become victim of such apps.
Local sources said many people including students, housewives, unemployed youths invested their money on the mobile apps following a youth named Feroz. But, the activities of the virtual company vanished taking all money of the users.
The victims said that they were tempted to earn Tk400-Tk1200 per day if they work for 1-2 hours a day on their smart phone investing Tk12,000 to Tk30,000. Only SPG members will get this opportunity. Initially, some members got the money but later no one got their money back.
Villagers said the poor people trusted the youth and invested a lot. Many people took loans and sold their domestic animals to invest in the so-called online platform.
Wishing anonymity, another victim said by appointing managers in different districts, SPG has set a trap all over the country. So far thousands of crores of taka have been invested in this site. Quick action should be taken against this fraudulent company.
District police super Uttam Prasad Pathak said if anyone is cheated, I can request them to file a complaint immediately. Only then, we can take action against the fraud gang quickly.
