Sajek draws huge crowd of tourists during 3-day holiday

Sajek Valley is buzzing with a stream of tourists as a huge number of people have flocked to the district during a three-day vacation, on the occasion of Milad-Un_Nabi, and two days off this weekend.

As a result, there are no rooms available in the hotels, motels and resorts of the tourist area.

Jothen Tripura, manager at Sajek Kureghar said Sajek currently has 100% booking in all resorts. Tourists flocked during the three-day holiday.

Md Mamun, a resort businessman said there are around 150 resorts and cottages here. About 6,000 tourists have the opportunity to spend the night in Sajek. However, at present, the number of tourists crossed the limits.

Many tourists returned home failing to get room here, said a local reporter.

Confirming the matter, Baghaichhari upazila nirbahi officer Rumana Aktar said additional pressure of tourist is seen in Sajek Valley.
