Protest against rise in rapes rocks the country. Film actor, actress have joined the protest too.

In a video message, popular actor Ananta recently blamed the dresses of women for the raping incidents.

He said, "Women (in Bangladesh) wear indecent dresses inspired by women from other countries, cinemas, television and social media. People look at your figures instead of your faces because of the indecent dresses. They make indecent comments (about women) and think of rape. "Do you (women) consider yourselves modern?"

Following the speech, the actor is being criticized. Netizens protested his speech writing comments. Later, Ananta Jalil posted a new video message on Sunday (October 11) deleting the previous one.

In the new video post at his verified Facebook ID, he said, “I basically wanted to tell girls to maintain modesty. Many people took the matter positively and others took it negatively. So, I have corrected the issue.”
