Two killed in Jatrabari road crash

At least two people were killed when a passenger bus hit a pickup van in Jatrabari in the capital early Monday (May 6).

Of the deceased was identified as Babul Chisty, 45, driver of the pickup van.

Police said the accident took place when the pickup van tried to take a U-tern on Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 2:00am, leaving two people critically injured. Later, they were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where they died under treatment.

Jatrabari police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Abu Sayem confirmed the matter.
