Info ministry starts action against illegal TV channels

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has started action to stop the illegal airing of domestic and foreign TV channels and commercial activities without license.

The ministry issued a press notification in this regard on Monday (May 6).

According to the notification, the decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Muhammad Ali Arafat on April 2.

A letter has been sent to the concerned stakeholders on Thursday (May 2) to implement the decisions. As part of that, the ministry started the action to stop the illegal airing of domestic and foreign TV channels
