Gold prices increase Tk2,449 per Bhori

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) has increased the price of gold Tk2,449 per Bhori (11.64 grams) and fixed it to Tk 76,458.

The new price of gold will be effective across the country from Friday, said a press release issued by Bangladesh Jewellers Samity on Thursday (September 17).

Gold traders claimed that the gold price is increased due to the coronavirus pandemic, shut of international flights, China-US trade war, dollar rate, oil price rate and other reasons.

According to the new prices, each Bhori of 22-carat gold will now cost Tk 76,458, 21-carat Tk 73,308 and 18-carat Tk 64,560. However, the price of 21-carat of silver remains unchanged at Tk933 per Bhori.
